Globe4D in Museum for Natural History in Portugal
In de stad Sintra vlakbij Lissabon is onlangs een nieuw Natuurhistorisch Museum geopend. Naast een hoop fossielen, meteorieten en andere opgravingen die al miljoenen jaar oud zijn laat het museum ook op een hele nieuwe manier zien hoe de aarde veranderd is door de miljoenen jaren heen. Het Museum for Natural History in Sintra heeft namelijk een exemplaar van Globe4D toegevoegd aan de permanente collectie en laat hiermee het schuiven van de continenten zien van 250 miljoen jaar geleden tot nu.
Het museum is iedere dag behalve maandag geopend en is gratis te bezoeken door jong en oud. Dus ben je in de buurt, neem een kijkje aan de Rua do Paço nummer 20 in Sintra.
Globe4D
Globe4D is an interactive four dimensional globe; an educational device used by schools, libraries, science centers and museums all over the world. It shows Earth's surface on a physically rotatable sphere. By turning the round table-top around the sphere you can travel back and forth in time. People of all ages and backgrounds learn in a playful manner about our changing planet.
