Globe4D the interactive four dimensional globe

Globe4D – ‘Design your own alien’ workshop

Students of elementary school De Zuidwester in Tilburg received lessons with a Globe4D Thursday the 16th of july. By rotating the four-dimensional sphere the children were able to travel through time and learned how the various planets in our solar system looked like, how they came to be and what characteristics they have.
The children used this information to design alien lifeforms that could successfully withstand the temperatures on Venus, or be able to navigate on a gaseous giant like Jupiter.
This unique workshop is part of a larger project to explore the applicability of the Globe4D system to elementary and middle school education.
