De Wetenschapsdag wordt georganiseerd in het kader van de landelijke WetenWeek, een week waarin wetenschap en techniek dichterbij gebracht worden voor kinderen. De Universiteit Leiden heeft op 21 oktober op meerdere locaties programma’s georganiseerd voor deze doelgroep. Een van deze locaties is het Gorlaeus, waar een uitgebreide wetenschapsmarkt, een PretLab, en een aantal lezingen zullen zijn.

Cinekid Festival is an annual Film, Television and New Media Festival for Children that is held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Every year during the autumn break more than 35,000 children are given an opportunity to attend one or more of the 200 media productions that Cinekid presents: feature films, children’s documentaries, short films, animations, TV series and single plays, cross-media productions, interactive installations and set-ups and workshops. The main festival is held in Amsterdam, but approximately 30 satellite festivals are held in cities all over the Netherlands. Globe4D will be exhibited at the main festival in Amsterdam during the whole week.

Recent technological developments make it possible to ’see’ the brain in action, to watch it engaging in the cognitions and emotions that are such an essential part of our mental life. Globe4D will be used to project a three dimensional movie of the human brain during a public event at the F.C. Donders Centre at Radboud University, Nijmegen. Globe4D’s outer ring will not be used this time to manipulate the time of a planet but to adjust the radius of a spherical projection of the human brain which makes is possible to look inside the human brain the way you peel an onion. Laval Virtual 2007, one of the biggest European Virtual Reality conventions. Laval Virtual ReVolution is an annual honor to the world’s finest VR projects. This is a hall of fame award that decides the best Virtual Reality demonstration and/or application from all over the world.
At Laval Virtual 2007 we released a new version of Globe4D. This event in the west of France attracted over 10.000 people with all kinds of backgrounds: scientists, engineers, museum directors, school teachers, children from all ages, parents and grandparents. Exhibiting at Laval Virtual gave us the opportunity to test our four dimensional globe on a really big user group. Thousands of people enjoyed playing with Globe4D and learned about the history of the earth.

Stedelijk Museum De Lakenhal organiseert jaarlijks de KUNSTROUTE. Tijdens deze open atelier- en galerieroute in Leiden zetten kunstenaars en galeries hun deuren open voor een groot publiek. U kunt kennis maken met vele kunstwerken en de makers ervan. De Kunstroute 2006 was met 5000 bezoekers, 134 deelnemende kunstenaars, 63 locaties en 11 galeries een groot succes. Een videodemonstratie van Globe4D was te zien in het Leidse Scheltema complex.

I watched GLOBE 4D demostration at Kshitij 08 (IIT Kharagpur).
Its an amazing creation guys.
